Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Calibration Technician to join our team at VACCO Industries. As a Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support for all aspects of calibration inventory control and the coordination of calibration services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process new devices into the calibration system and maintain accurate records of all calibration requirements, calibrations, certifications, and equipment locations.
  • Coordinate calibration services with internal and external sources, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Check-in measurement test equipment upon arrival and record its location in the calibration system.
  • Track and record the location of all equipment in calibration, controlling physical movement within and out of the Calibration Lab.
  • Perform calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs as necessary, collecting data and completing reports on a wide range of mechanical and test equipment.
  • Use established internal procedures and industry standards to calibrate and troubleshoot mechanical measuring and test equipment.
  • Complete required documentation to certify the verification and calibration of mechanical measuring and test equipment.
  • Provide recommendations for improving calibration procedures and self-manage time to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Follow company policies and standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and understanding of VACCO's internal Gage instructions and standards, including ISO/IEC 17025, VI-CAL, and VACCO VI-CAL-XXX.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing procedures, including work order processing, and familiarity with MS software such as Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one (3) year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
