Millennium Space Systems, A Boeing Company is seeking a highly skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician Senior to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of the production of space flight sub-systems and support equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and integrate electro-mechanical components into complex systems
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly and integration
- Use precision calibrated tools to ensure high-quality assembly and testing
- Perform visual inspections to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and written procedures
- Document non-conformances and associated rework/repair
- Soldering and reworking of through-hole and SMT components
- Support conformal coat, masking, epoxy application, and coating
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in electro-mechanical assembly on high-reliability products
- Industry and/or trade school training
- Working knowledge of ESD, IPC J-STD-001, and IPC-A-610 standards
- Experience with a variety of assembly techniques and tools
- 3-5 years of soldering experience
- More than 5 years of experience building a variety of component-level space products
- IPC J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 certification
- Experience working in a 100,000 Class cleanroom environment
- Ability to obtain clearance
- Ability to travel
- Frequent standing, sitting, stopping, kneeling, crawling, and squatting is required
- Able to lift up to 50lbs to transfer or move tools, parts, equipment, containers, and materials
- Have the ability to operate standard computer software and equipment
- Able to work in normal office as well as inside and outside industrial working environments
- Possess the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
- Have ability to fly on regular commercial airlines to offsite locations and launch facilities
- Familiar with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
