Position Summary:

The Security Installation Technician will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems. This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic work environment and is eager to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and service security systems, including access control and CCTV.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on various systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Complete maintenance tasks within designated timeframes to minimize emergency service calls.
  • Assist in planning and executing electrical equipment installations and system start-ups.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company standards.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed while performing work assignments.
  • Handle proprietary information in accordance with company policies.

Work Schedule:

Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend shifts and overtime opportunities.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly wage starting at $19.00/hour.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 24 years of age.
  • Possession of a valid Texas driver's license is required.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Eligibility for employment based on background checks, including criminal history and drug screening.
  • Dependable and willing to learn new fabrication methods.
  • Basic knowledge of welding techniques, particularly MIG welding.
  • Experience operating fabrication equipment such as press brakes and drill presses.
  • Ability to support the Video Department as needed.
  • Experience operating forklifts and skid steer loaders.
  • Capability to secure loads on trailers effectively.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

  • 2-4 years of experience in structured cabling installation.
  • 2-4 years of experience in video surveillance camera installation.
  • Familiarity with Avigilon, Axis, or Genetec systems is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Capability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
  • Good vision and ability to climb ladders up to 24 feet high.
  • Physical tasks may include bending, stooping, and kneeling.
