Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Pipe Installation Technician, your primary duties will include:
  • Cutting, threading, or shaping pipes to meet specifications using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe benders.
  • Developing full-scale layouts of piping systems, supports, or associated equipment based on blueprints.
  • Assembling or securing pipes, tubes, fittings, or related apparatus according to specifications through welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, or threading joints.
  • Measuring and marking pipes for cutting or threading accurately.
  • Inspecting, examining, or testing installed systems or pipelines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, and other methods.
  • Planning the layout, installation, or repair of piping systems in accordance with specifications.
  • Attaching pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.
  • Modifying, cleaning, or maintaining piping systems, units, fittings, or related machinery using hand or power tools.
  • Selecting appropriate pipe sizes, types, or related materials based on specifications.
  • Cutting or boring holes in structures prior to pipe installation using hand or power tools.
  • Installing automatic controls to manage piping systems.
  • Shutting off steam, water, or other gases or liquids from pipe sections using valve keys or wrenches.
  • Removing and replacing worn components as necessary.
  • Inspecting work sites for obstructions or weaknesses that could compromise structural integrity.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
  • A high school diploma is preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of general construction experience.
  • Basic plus certification.
  • A valid TWIC card.
