Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Security Installation Technician to join our team in Pasadena. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic work environment and are eager to learn new technologies while contributing to the production of superior security systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and service access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV security systems
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on various equipment and systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively
  • Complete maintenance tasks within designated hours to minimize emergency service calls
  • Assist in planning and executing basic electrical installations and system start-ups
  • Uphold a professional appearance in accordance with company standards
  • Adhere to safety protocols and budgetary constraints while performing job duties
  • Handle proprietary information responsibly and in line with company policies

Work Schedule:

This position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional weekend work and overtime opportunities.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly wage starting at $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be at least 24 years of age
  • Possession of a valid Texas driver's license is required
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is necessary
  • Eligibility for employment based on background checks, including criminal history and health/drug screenings
  • Dependability and a willingness to learn fabrication techniques are essential
  • Basic knowledge of welding techniques (e.g., MIG welding) is preferred
  • Experience operating fabrication equipment, such as press brakes and drill presses
  • Capability to support the Video Department as needed
  • Experience operating forklifts and skid steer loaders is beneficial
  • Ability to secure loads using appropriate equipment
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment

  • 2-4 years of experience in structured cabling installation is preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in video surveillance camera installation is preferred
  • Familiarity with Avigilon, Axis, or Genetec systems is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs without assistance
  • Capability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods
  • Good vision and the ability to climb ladders up to 24 feet
  • Physical tasks may include bending, stooping, and kneeling
