RMA Northern California, a prominent member of the RMA network, is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual for the role of Patient Care Coordinator at our facility.

The Patient Care Coordinator will work Monday through Friday, with flexible shifts that may include early morning or mid-morning hours, along with holiday coverage.


Role Overview:
The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for welcoming patients and ensuring a smooth experience throughout their visit. This position plays a crucial role in establishing a positive atmosphere and facilitating communication between patients and various departments.

In this role, you will address patient concerns by collaborating with our multi-disciplinary teams to maintain a welcoming practice environment.


Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and assist all patients and visitors.
• Alleviate patient concerns by proactively addressing their needs and inquiries.
• Follow appointment schedules and guide patients through their appointments.
• Identify scheduling conflicts and propose effective solutions.
• Collect payments as necessary and collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate insurance documentation.
• Work closely with the patient's care team to coordinate comprehensive patient services.
• Manage requests for medical records.
• Perform administrative duties such as filing, faxing, and answering phone calls.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain an organized and efficient office environment.
• Support office operations by managing supplies and maintaining the front desk and waiting areas.

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.

Preferred Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience in a patient-facing capacity is preferred.
• Background in the medical or healthcare sector is advantageous.
• At least 2 years of experience in a customer service environment.

Technical Proficiencies:
• Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Office). A typing speed of 25 words per minute is required. Familiarity with medical office software (EMRs) is preferred.
