Position Title: Dining Room Server - Flexible Hours

Job Overview:

This role involves working between 20-29 hours per week, offering flexibility in scheduling.

The Server plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests by coordinating all aspects of table service and liaising with both front and back of house teams. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional hospitality, ensuring that every guest receives prompt, courteous, and friendly service in line with established service standards.

Availability: Candidates must be available for shifts on holidays and weekends, with working hours ranging from Monday to Sunday, between 6:30 AM and 9:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Efficiently process guest orders to guarantee timely and accurate preparation of all menu items.
  2. Serve wine to guests, including presenting, opening, and pouring.
  3. Monitor guests' satisfaction with food and service, responding to requests and determining when meals are complete.
  4. Handle billing and payment transactions, directing guests to supervisors when necessary.
  5. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu and beverage offerings, actively promoting items to guests.
  6. Utilize the Point of Sale (P.O.S.) system according to established guidelines.
  7. Ensure that the uniform is clean, pressed, and in good condition.
  8. Arrive for shifts in appropriate attire, including full uniform and suitable footwear.
  9. Prepare tables with spotless cutlery, china, and glassware.
  10. Be prepared to work evenings, weekends, and potentially holidays.
  11. Assist bus staff with stocking, clearing, and resetting tables as needed.
  12. Complete all side duties before the end of the shift to ensure readiness for the next service period.
  13. Uphold the values, culture, and service standards of the organization.
  14. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and sanitation standards.
  15. Physically manage lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds, including serving food on trays.
  16. Work in various environments, including hot areas, and may be required to work extended shifts based on operational needs.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Prior experience in a full-service dining environment is essential, ideally with at least six months in a fine dining or upscale setting.
  3. Proven commitment to delivering outstanding guest service and exceeding expectations.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing warm and gracious hospitality.
  5. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  7. Proactive approach with sound judgment and initiative.
  8. Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with company standards.
  9. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull weights up to 50 pounds.
  2. Significant walking or standing is required.
  3. Work environment may involve exposure to physical risks, necessitating adherence to safety protocols.
  4. Position may require working in hot conditions and extended hours based on business demands.
