Psychiatric Care Technician

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services. Our facility offers a range of emergency and ongoing care options, including inpatient treatment for individuals of all ages, as well as partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. Position Overview
The Psychiatric Care Technician plays a crucial role in delivering direct support to patients experiencing psychiatric challenges, focusing on their safety and overall well-being. The primary duty of the technician is to maintain a secure environment for patients within the unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Observing and monitoring patient behavior
- Leading therapeutic group sessions
- Conducting safety searches and managing contraband
- Assisting patients with daily living activities
- Managing patient behavior and the therapeutic environment
- Documenting patient interactions and progress

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience in a psychiatric environment
- CPR certification (may be obtained post-hire)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Shift Details: Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM (Rotating Weekends Required)
