Position Overview

The Psychiatric Care Technician plays a crucial role in delivering direct support to patients experiencing mental health challenges. This position is essential for maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and observing patients to ensure their safety
  • Leading therapeutic group sessions
  • Conducting searches to prevent the possession of contraband
  • Assisting patients with daily living activities
  • Managing patient behavior and the overall environment
  • Documenting patient interactions and progress

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a mental health setting
  • CPR certification (can be obtained post-hire)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Shift Details: Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM (Rotating Weekends Required)
