About the Role

Oak View Group is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Event Sales Associate to join our team at Chartway Arena. As a key member of our front-line customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patrons, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Selling Event Tickets: Assist patrons with ticket sales, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Customer Service: Provide top-notch customer service, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Will Call Functions: Locate and distribute tickets, research confirmation details, and provide accurate information to patrons.
  • Phone Inquiries: Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information to patrons.
  • Event Operations: Work Chartway Arena events, ODU Football/Basketball/Volleyball/Soccer/Baseball games, and other attractions, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all patrons.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile daily sales, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • Cash Handling Experience: Proven experience handling cash, credit card transactions, and other financial responsibilities.
  • Sales and Customer Service Experience: Prior experience in sales and customer service, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Computer Knowledge: Basic computer knowledge, including proficiency in software applications.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
