As a Member Service Representative, your responsibilities will include:

• Processing financial transactions for members, entering them into the bank's software systems, and issuing receipts.

• Adhering to the bank's security protocols consistently.

• Staying informed about the bank's check cashing policies and federal regulations to validate checks and cash, as well as to review essential documents.

• Evaluating member accounts to make informed decisions regarding transaction requests.

• Maintaining an accurate cash drawer balance daily.

• Promoting TowneBank and its offerings.

• Delivering outstanding service to members in person, over the phone, or via email.

• Exhibiting a professional demeanor and appearance.

• Performing additional branch responsibilities as assigned.

• Complying with all relevant federal laws, rules, and regulations related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Required Skills:

• Proficient in basic computer applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and banking software.

• Open to learning and adapting as new systems or processes are introduced.

• Capable of maintaining cash drawer accuracy on a daily basis.

• Efficiently processing monetary transactions in a timely manner.

• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent service to members in various communication formats.

• Strong team player.

• Punctual and reliable.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous cash handling experience and/or six months of bank teller experience is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to communicate ideas effectively through spoken word, both verbally and in writing.

• Capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, utilizing arms and legs, and primarily sitting.

• Close visual acuity for tasks such as data analysis, computer use, reading, and documentation preparation.

• Minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
