The Event Catering Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless delivery and presentation of food and beverage items to our esteemed catering clients. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional service that leads to high levels of guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:


The Event Catering Specialist is tasked with the delivery and service of food and beverage items to our catering clientele, ensuring a friendly, courteous, and timely experience that enhances guest satisfaction.


Specific Duties Include:

  • Setting tables according to event specifications.
  • Transporting necessary equipment and beverages from storage to event locations.
  • Arranging food and beverages on buffet tables for presentation.
  • Serving food, beverages, and accompaniments to guests in a polite and professional manner.
  • Efficiently clearing china, glassware, and silverware from dining areas.
  • Delivering used china, silverware, and glassware to the designated dishwashing area.
  • Returning unused equipment and beverages, as well as dirty linens, to their proper storage locations in an organized manner.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Polishing equipment as necessary.
  • Organizing catering storage areas for optimal efficiency.
  • Participating in mandatory meetings.
  • Completing all assigned side work.
  • Performing general cleaning tasks to comply with health and safety standards.
  • Executing additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in the food and beverage industry as a server.
  • Proficiency in plate service and the ability to carry multiple plates simultaneously.
  • Commitment to personal hygiene and maintaining a well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively to set up and execute events.
  • Drive to exceed guest expectations consistently.
  • Effective listening skills and the ability to follow directions from supervisors.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Familiarity with setting tables for formal dining with appropriate serviceware and menu items.
  • Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing in English to communicate effectively with management and guests.
  • Ability to memorize and recite menu options.
  • Capability to transport up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Skill in quietly removing plates from guest tables.
  • Ability to carry trays of beverages over long distances.


Adhere to safe work practices, follow all safety policies and procedures, complete company-wide safety training, and any additional job-specific safety training.


Compensation:
Part-Time $17.28
