Position Overview:


The Event Catering Specialist plays a crucial role in the provision and service of food and beverage items to our esteemed catering clients, ensuring a welcoming, courteous, and prompt service that leads to exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:


The Event Catering Specialist is tasked with the delivery and service of food and beverage items to catering clients in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.


Specific Duties:

  • Arrange tables according to event specifications.
  • Transport necessary equipment and beverages from storage to the event site.
  • Set up and display food and beverages on buffet tables.
  • Serve food, beverages, and accompaniments to clients in a friendly and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Carefully clear china, glassware, and silverware from dining areas.
  • Deliver used china, silverware, and glassware to the designated dishwashing area.
  • Return equipment, unused beverages, and soiled linens to their proper storage locations in an orderly fashion.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Polish equipment as needed.
  • Organize catering storage areas.
  • Participate in mandatory meetings.
  • Complete all assigned side tasks.
  • Perform general cleaning duties to comply with health and safety standards.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work extended hours and flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the food and beverage industry as a server.
  • Knowledge of plate service and the ability to carry multiple plates simultaneously.
  • Must adhere to personal hygiene and grooming standards.
  • Capability to work independently or collaboratively to set up and execute events.
  • Motivation and commitment to exceed guest expectations.
  • Ability to effectively listen and follow directions from supervisors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Familiarity with setting tables for formal dining with appropriate serviceware and menu items.
  • Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing in English to communicate effectively with management and guests.
  • Ability to remember and articulate menu options.
  • Capacity to transport up to 50 lbs. consistently.
  • Skill in quietly removing plates from guests.
  • Ability to carry trays of beverages over long distances.


Practice safe work habits, adhere to all safety policies and procedures, complete company-wide safety training, and any additional job-specific safety training.


Compensation:
Part-Time $17.28
