Position: Culinary Artist - Tres LA Group
Summary/Objective
As a Culinary Artist, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional food experiences while adhering to the highest standards of safety, sanitation, and quality. Your passion for culinary excellence will contribute to the success of our award-winning catering company.
Essential Functions- Prepare delectable dishes according to established recipes and guidelines, ensuring consistency and flavor profiles.
- Collaborate with the Event Chef in food production, contributing your skills to create memorable culinary experiences.
- Demonstrate proficiency in knife techniques, efficiently preparing a variety of fruits, vegetables, and proteins.
- Contribute to the creation of diverse menus for tastings, lunches, dinners, and catered events, showcasing your culinary versatility.
- Adhere to precise portioning details and recipes provided by the Event Chef, ensuring accuracy and consistency in every dish.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail, guaranteeing that all prepared items meet the highest quality standards.
- Conduct thorough taste tests of all prepared dishes, evaluating flavor, freshness, and overall quality.
- Assist with the organization and setup of kitchen stations, ensuring a clean and efficient workspace.
- Prepare ingredients by cleaning, cutting, and cooking various foods according to recipes and instructions.
- Master the art of breaking down and cleaning various proteins, demonstrating your culinary expertise.
- Plate prepared dishes with artistry and precision, adhering to the Event Chef's direction and presentation standards.
- Maintain a spotless and organized station and prep area, upholding the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Adhere to proper food rotation and storage procedures, ensuring freshness and safety.
- Strictly follow all safety and sanitation guidelines as outlined by health department regulations.
- Provide valuable insights and recommendations for maintaining and improving kitchen equipment and workspaces.
- Ensure a smooth closing process by diligently following the kitchen closing checklist for event locations or venue stations.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently close the kitchen, contributing to a seamless workflow.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of all menu offerings, showcasing your culinary knowledge.
- Embrace a proactive approach and assist the Event Chef with any additional tasks as needed.
