Position Objective

As a Lead Sales Strategist at Dentsu, your primary responsibility will be to cultivate strategic alliances and enhance relationships with a specific portfolio of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) brands. You will showcase the capabilities of our Retail Media Network to address the unique needs of each brand while collaborating closely with key stakeholders. Your role will involve expanding both existing and new partnerships across Brand, Shopper, and Agency budgets, delivering solutions that span various revenue streams. Achieving or surpassing your sales targets will be a key focus.

In this position, you will also collaborate with cross-functional teams that support both pre-sales and post-sales execution of campaigns. This includes account research, strategic planning, media coordination, audience targeting, billing, campaign development, creative execution, and analyzing post-campaign performance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage advertiser relationships on behalf of the Retail Media Network, driving comprehensive advertising solutions.
  • Establish and strengthen strategic partnerships that guide and influence the trajectory of the brands you support through a consultative selling approach.
  • Meet established revenue objectives across your assigned account portfolio while fostering new connections.
  • Develop expertise in Dentsu's product offerings and strategic vision, articulating how they fulfill advertiser needs.
  • Act as the market representative, providing continuous feedback from the advertiser's viewpoint to help shape the product development roadmap.
  • Oversee your financial pipeline, demonstrating a thorough understanding of pacing, strategies for closing gaps, and the ability to achieve expected revenue outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 5+ years of experience in client-facing media and integrated marketing campaign sales, with a solid grasp of client management, digital media, targeting, measurement, and the retail media ecosystem.
  • 5+ years of experience in aligning multiple client and agency stakeholders to achieve revenue goals and build long-term relationships.
  • Experience in direct client engagement, including strategic planning sessions and partnership meetings.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate internal teams for seamless campaign execution.
  • Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets while contributing to overall team performance.
  • Proficient in pipeline management and CRM tools, with a strong emphasis on accurate forecasting.
  • Ability to build trust with internal and external clients/teams, thriving in a dynamic environment and showing a willingness to enhance processes for continued success.
Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this role is $68,000-$106,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on various factors, including relevant experience, skills, and other legally permissible considerations.
