About the Role

RUSH Physical Therapy is seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Service Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients have an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive at our center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Advocacy: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule patient appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless care.
  • Communication and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff, and respond to requests for information in a timely manner.
  • Financial Management: Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications to ensure timely and accurate payment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure that patients receive high-quality care and service.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in computer software and systems.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift, and ability to lift up to 25lbs safely.
