Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Strategic Management Consultant to support our clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to collect, interpret, and convert executive-level directives into actionable initiatives that align with relevant organizational missions; assess the value and alignment of proposed initiatives with strategic guidance, request resources from oversight bodies, and prioritize resource allocation to critical mission areas.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis for program development activities, including detailed Future Years Defense Program (FYDP) assessments.
  • Generate trend analysis reports to identify resource gaps.
  • Improve the mapping of resources to initiatives, high-interest areas, strategic initiatives, etc.
  • Draft narratives for Congressional Budget Justification Books (CBJB).
  • Provide insights for programmatic actions influencing Program Build.
  • Support the readiness process by coordinating the identification and resolution of deficiencies and concerns.
  • Facilitate the alignment of resource strategies across various directorates and organizations.
  • Consolidate Program Build information for executive leaders and external oversight bodies.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to prioritize requirements across different departments.
  • Contribute to responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) from external oversight entities regarding resources.
  • Assist in the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) documentation process.
  • Lead meetings, teams, projects, and client support activities specific to the strategic management domain.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of twelve (12) years of combined experience in Strategic Management, including interpreting executive-level guidance into actionable initiatives, and/or in the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process or similar enterprise-level portfolio management systems.
  • A graduate degree may substitute for two (2) years of overall experience.
  • Four (4) additional years of experience in strategic management or enterprise-level portfolio management (totaling 16 years of overall experience) may replace the Bachelor's degree requirement.

Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with minimal guidance.
  • Experience in enterprise-level portfolio management.
  • Familiarity with data automation tools and techniques.
