Role Overview:
As a Strategic Partnership Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in fostering and nurturing strategic alliances with both domestic and international governmental bodies and organizations. Your responsibilities will encompass planning, coordinating, and preparing defense clients for critical engagements, including meetings, conferences, and visits with allied entities, services, agencies, and commands. This includes managing logistics, coordination of visits, and preparation of command information packages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with international and domestic partners.
- Support defense security cooperation initiatives, ensuring adherence to established concepts and procedures as executed by Combatant Commands.
- Assist in defense operations, strategy formulation, policy analysis, and planning in collaboration with military services, Joint entities, non-defense organizations, and foreign nations.
- Engage in strategic partnerships that bolster military service elements, Joint Commands, and Defense agencies.
- Work closely with military service or Joint staff, providing support to senior military officials and civilian counterparts.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of military processes, methodologies, and orders.
- Maintain a TS/SCI clearance and possess a Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience collaborating with US Embassy country teams, theater combatant commanders, and foreign partners to strengthen relationships aligned with Department of Defense objectives.
- Ability to work across Defense and interagency partners to inform and support policy analysis and decision-making.
- Experience in a major headquarters staff environment.
- Familiarity with the Defense strategy for operating in Cyberspace, the Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR), the National Disclosure Policy (NDP), and Global Force Management (GFM).
- Proficient in drafting decision memos, briefing documents, and papers on international affairs topics for interagency meetings, including briefings for senior leadership.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and possess excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- A Master's degree is preferred.
Security Clearance:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
