Key Responsibilities:

The Senior IT Systems Consultant will provide both technical and managerial guidance to personnel engaged in software development activities. This includes reviewing work outputs for accuracy, compliance with design specifications, and alignment with user standards, as well as monitoring progress against established timelines. The Senior IT Systems Consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:

A. Collaborating with the Program Manager to ensure effective problem resolution and user satisfaction;

B. Offering recommendations for the approval of significant systems installations, as necessary;

C. Preparing milestone status reports and delivering presentations on system concepts to colleagues, subordinates, and end-user representatives; and

D. Providing daily oversight and direction to support personnel.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related technical field. (Note: A Master's degree is preferred.)
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in computing, working independently or under general supervision on complex application challenges across all phases of systems analysis.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in the analysis and design of business applications for complex large-scale or mid-tier computer systems, or LAN-based systems, including experience with Database Management Systems (DBMS) and programming languages. The candidate must possess knowledge of current data storage and retrieval methods and demonstrate the ability to create specifications for programmers to utilize in coding, testing, and debugging software applications.
