Immersion Consulting is in search of a Senior Software Configuration Consultant to assist in enhancing the operational efficiency of financial management systems.

Role Overview:
This position involves supporting a significant initiative aimed at improving financial management services. The consultant will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the effective configuration of software systems, infrastructure, and security measures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze operational and maintenance activities, focusing on security and network requirements for new interfaces and trading partners.
  • Provide technical support to project management and leadership, tracking project progress and reporting updates.
  • Facilitate the integration of existing software interfaces and data architecture to minimize customization and promote standard processes.
  • Monitor system performance and user experience, utilizing tools to identify latency issues.
  • Engage with team members to address system performance challenges and ensure optimal user configurations.
  • Oversee performance reporting and share insights with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Assist in resolving desktop and network issues for users of the financial management system.
  • Manage configuration changes and maintain documentation for system design and data architecture.
  • Conduct reviews and provide recommendations to enhance service level agreements.
  • Support the development of security documentation in collaboration with various offices and service providers.
  • Offer expert advice and quality assurance for service configuration deliverables.
  • Assist in managing testing and evaluation activities for system enhancements.
  • Analyze changes with trading partners and assess impacts on testing and project execution.
  • Support the management of requirements and conduct risk analyses for ongoing projects.
  • Facilitate meetings and prepare necessary materials for project teams.
  • Monitor security issues and collaborate with cybersecurity teams to address risks.
  • Assist in the establishment and renewal of interconnection agreements with trading partners.
  • Support audits and data requests related to technical issues.
  • Ensure timely exchange of connection certificates with trading partners.

Project Management Responsibilities:
As a project manager, you will leverage your technical expertise to deliver effective solutions, including:
  • Managing daily interactions with executive clients.
  • Overseeing components of client engagements that involve identifying and implementing technology and process solutions.
  • Leading teams in gathering business requirements, functional design, and testing.
  • Maintaining relationships with key decision-makers and contributing to proposal development.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in transitioning financial data to new management solutions.
  • Experience with shared service providers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and operate with minimal guidance.
  • Good judgment in selecting methods for problem-solving.
  • Focus on delivering high-quality products to management.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in systems engineering and IT lifecycle processes.
  • Experience in managing operational and functional requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with developmental testing and evaluation of financial management systems.
  • Experience in developing program management documentation for major acquisitions.

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • 10 years of experience in professional services.
  • Prior management experience in client delivery.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
