Regulatory Compliance Specialist

The Compliance Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring that BESCO adheres to all relevant regulations and standards. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at maintaining the integrity of the company's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Licensing Oversight:
- Manage and supervise the licensing processes, ensuring all necessary licenses are current and in accordance with applicable laws.
- Collaborate with team members to gather required documentation for license renewals and new applications.
- Contract Evaluation:
- Support the legal team in assessing contracts, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and company guidelines.
- Identify potential risks within contract terms and suggest modifications as necessary.
- Maintain a well-organized repository of all company contracts for easy access and management.
- Regulatory Filings:
- Prepare and file essential business documents, including annual reports and registrations, to comply with regulatory agencies.
- Track filing deadlines and work with relevant departments to collect necessary information.
- Compliance Auditing:
- Conduct periodic audits to verify adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
- Assist in formulating and executing internal compliance policies and procedures.
- Regulatory Research:
- Investigate changes in regulations and emerging legal trends that could affect the company's operations.
- Provide summaries and analyses of new legal requirements to the legal department.
- Record Management:
- Ensure accurate and current documentation of all compliance activities, licenses, contracts, and insurance claims.
- Guarantee secure storage and easy retrieval of all documentation for audits and internal assessments.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in compliance, legal, or administrative roles, ideally within the construction sector.
- Experience in licensing, contract management, or insurance claims is preferred.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance, particularly in the construction field.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Working Conditions:
- This role is primarily office-based, with occasional travel for regulatory meetings or industry events.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines is essential.
