Job Overview:

The Project Manager is responsible for cultivating and sustaining a client portfolio, overseeing sales initiatives, and managing field operations for each project. This role requires sound judgment and discretion in representing the organization. A high level of dedication and engagement with both the work and the company’s objectives is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Execute all necessary project management functions to drive and finalize sales, including conceptual engineering, comprehensive estimates, formal proposals, and direct client interactions leading to successful project completion.
  • Contract Management: Effectively manage contracts, encompassing sales, estimation, procurement, and execution.
  • Labor Scheduling: Organize field labor and installation timelines efficiently.

Financial Acumen:

  • Conduct forecasting, prepare budget projections, and manage costs within established limits.
  • Draft letters, proposals, memos, contracts, change orders, and strategies to ensure sound business practices and legal safeguards.
  • Handle billing and maintain awareness of job costs.

Relationship Building:

  • External Relations: Lead client meetings and develop contracts to secure sales. Maintain positive relationships with all clients, including vendors and subcontractors.
  • Internal Coordination: Provide guidance, leadership, and coordination among all departments involved during project execution.
  • Participate in special studies and committees to enhance the company’s technical capabilities in engineering, planning, and estimating.

Effective Communication:

  • Engage with relevant personnel, including management and department heads.
  • Attend all project management sales and construction meetings.
  • Schedule and facilitate pre-construction meetings with department leaders.
  • Utilize internal resources to their fullest potential.
  • Manage and supervise project-assigned staff throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, design, and management of projects ranging from $50,000 to over $25 million.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate a high level of integrity.
  • Proven track record in developing new business opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and project management capabilities, with excellent organizational skills to handle a high volume of tasks.
  • Active involvement in industry-related or community-based organizations.
