Position Overview
The Cybersecurity Project Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of Information and Cyber Security projects. The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of delivering intricate technical projects across various disciplines, employing effective project management methodologies and change management practices. This role requires adeptness in facilitating discussions, presenting to management, and a solid understanding of technology-related terminology.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management (50%) - Lead one significant project or multiple smaller to medium-sized projects. Ensure timely completion of all project phases, promptly addressing and documenting any issues that arise.
Resource Allocation (50%) - Guarantee that resources are appropriately assigned and dedicated to projects. Oversee all aspects of deployment from planning through execution and post-deployment assessment.

Communication - Conduct project meetings effectively, conveying both technical and non-technical information clearly to business teams. Negotiate and facilitate discussions across various organizational levels.
Leadership - Utilize sound judgment within established procedures to determine suitable actions. Prioritize tasks effectively and demonstrate urgency in problem-solving and goal achievement.
Collaboration - Foster strong relationships with team members across different units, ensuring commitment to shared objectives.
Quality Assurance - Maintain accuracy and thoroughness in all deliverables, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and applying feedback to enhance performance.

Primary Duties:
- Develop, monitor, and report on project milestones, schedules, scope, resource plans, and interdependencies.
- Manage project finances to ensure delivery within budget, including total cost of ownership and monthly forecasts.
- Utilize software development skills to implement projects from inception to transition while adhering to budget constraints.
- Engage with project teams to influence decisions and facilitate consensus.
- Employ project tracking tools for detailed administration.
- Resolve conflicts according to established processes and procedures.
- Actively participate in project teams, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
- Schedule team resources and manage issues effectively without direct authority.
- Ensure effective communication among all project stakeholders.
- Engage comfortably with senior management, presenting ideas and updates clearly.
- Demonstrate flexibility in response to change and ambiguity.
- Apply project management best practices and pursue relevant training opportunities.
- Understand vendor contracts and manage relationships with vendors in consultation with management.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of technology and its terminology.
- Possess knowledge of the transportation industry and its operational concepts.
- Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Word, and Visio.
Qualifications:
- Strong skills in Program Management and Security Management.
- Experience in Cybersecurity, Network Security, and Information Security.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in cybersecurity.
- Experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or PMP are advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
