Position Overview

The Room Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring that guest accommodations are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. This position is essential for creating a welcoming environment for our guests at Donohoe Companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean and prepare assigned rooms and suites, adhering to established cleanliness standards. This includes tasks such as making beds, sanitizing bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, and arranging furniture.
  • Restock and replenish necessary items in guest rooms, including toiletries, paper products, and towels.
  • Maintain cleanliness in public areas, including entryways and hallways.
  • Organize and restock the housekeeping cart daily to ensure efficiency.
  • Manage key control for issued keys and any keys left by guests.
  • Handle lost and found items by delivering them to the Executive Housekeeper for proper logging and storage.
  • Report any unusual occurrences or issues in guest rooms to the Executive Housekeeper promptly.
  • Assist guests with laundry and dry-cleaning requests.
  • Accommodate special requests from guests while ensuring their privacy and security.

Additional Duties

  • Follow all hotel policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Be flexible with scheduling to meet the demands of the business, including working various shifts as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift, carry, and bend throughout the shift.
  • Strong ability to work independently and efficiently.
