Job Title: Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Specialist Office. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greets patients and prepares them for physical examination, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment.
  • Takes vital signs and assists patients in patient flow through the clinic, maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Prepares exam rooms and instruments for examination and testing, adhering to strict sterilization and safety protocols.
  • Uses electronic systems to access and enter information as directed, including EMR and practice management IT systems.
  • Enters clinical information into patient charts, including vitals, consents, pain assessments, and medications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assists physicians, physician extenders, and nurses with procedures and treatments as directed, demonstrating a strong clinical skillset.
  • Labels and maintains proper storage for specimens and tests, ensuring timely delivery and accurate results.
  • Accompanies patients to other areas as directed, providing exceptional customer service and meeting patients' needs for comfort and hygiene.
  • Performs quality control functions for assigned area, reviewing medical records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Performs follow-up calls to patients regarding post-visit/post-procedure status, recording and documenting all necessary information.
