Job Overview

Solutions³ LLC is dedicated to assisting U.S. Government entities by providing essential support for on-site incident management in response to cyber threats. Our mission involves immediate investigation and resolution for civilian agencies and critical asset owners facing cyber incidents. We are currently seeking a Laboratory Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in this vital mission.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize advanced analytical capabilities and technical resources to implement infrastructure solutions that enhance command decision-making and fulfill mission objectives.
  • Facilitate the integration of new technologies and equipment within the laboratory setting.
  • Evaluate network architecture and device configurations to identify significant security vulnerabilities, providing best practice recommendations for security enhancements.
  • Offer guidance and insights in the development of laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies.
  • Deliver support for Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) to end-users.
  • Assist users with MacOS and iOS support.
  • Provide troubleshooting and triage assistance for a range of technical challenges and user inquiries.
  • Monitor and respond to user requests through IT helpdesk channels and phone support.
  • Aid in managing user accounts and resetting access credentials.
  • Implement granular access control measures, monitor system performance and user accessibility, establish backup protocols, and oversee system security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage issues across the organization, addressing storage and replication strategies across both local and wide area networks.

Essential Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is mandatory; TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
  • Capability to obtain DHS Suitability is necessary.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in system administration.
  • Proficiency with various operating systems, including Linux/Unix and MacOS.
  • Knowledge of networking principles and network administration.
  • Experience with Virtual Private Networks (VPN).
  • Familiarity with virtual desktop solutions (e.g., Citrix, VMWare).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple locations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, including ELK and Splunk.
  • Skills in virtualization automation and optimization.
  • Familiarity with Jamf Pro, DEP, and Enterprise Connect implementations.
  • Experience in drafting technical procedures and standard operating procedures.

Educational Background:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field is required; alternatively, a High School Diploma with 4+ years of lab management or systems administration experience is acceptable.
