Job Overview

The General Manager – High Rise is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Association, adhering to governing documents, Board policies, and applicable regulations. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to build relationships with the Board, committees, and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of Community governing documents and ensure compliance.
  • Develop and implement effective staffing plans, budgets, and vendor management strategies.
  • Ensure timely maintenance and repair of building systems, common areas, and amenities.
  • Manage fire, life, and safety systems, and ensure evacuation plans and emergency procedures are in place.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, budgets, and board meeting agendas.
  • Lead Board meetings, prepare minutes, and ensure vendor compliance with service contracts.
  • Monitor the financial position of the Association and present monthly financial reports.
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-range plans, and provide recommendations for specific action plans.
Requirements
  • Excellent general math skills and strong user of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and drive for mutually satisfactory resolution.
  • Understanding of HOA rules and guidelines, facility maintenance, association governing documents, and financial statements and budgets.
  • Service-oriented mindset, with multi-tasking abilities and a flexible, resilient attitude.
  • Ability to deal with conflict and work well under pressure.
