GAI Consultants, Inc. is in search of a Senior Project Engineer to enhance our team within the Community Infrastructure Business Sector. This role offers the opportunity to engage in municipal and land development initiatives in a dynamic, collaborative, and fast-paced setting. Projects will vary from small infill developments to extensive master-planned communities. Remote and/or hybrid work arrangements are available, and the selected candidate may qualify for a sign-on or relocation bonus.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Possess experience in Florida land development permitting.
  • Assist in the creation of proposals and reports.
  • Develop and maintain new client relationships.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities to thrive in a detail-oriented team environment.

  • Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of principles and practices within the engineering field.
  • Independently assesses, selects, and modifies standard techniques and procedures.

Required Experience:
  • Minimum of 8 years in a relevant field.

Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.

Licensure:
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License with reciprocity in multiple states.

Technical Duties:
  • Delegate tasks to both technical and non-technical staff, primarily overseeing detailed engineering work.
  • Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
  • Support proposals aimed at securing professional services or funding for engineering projects.

Management Duties:
  • Receive guidance on overall objectives, critical issues, and policy matters.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and direct reports.
  • Exhibit professional attitudes essential to the engineering practice, including creativity, curiosity, flexibility, and reliability.

Communication Proficiencies:
  • Possess advanced oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interpret complex technical and contractual language.
  • Consider the diverse needs of project stakeholders.
  • Lead project meetings and represent the organization in various communications related to engineering assignments.
  • Analyze and implement effective communication strategies and teamwork principles.
