Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and coordination of roadway, drainage, and utility projects for both public and private sector clients.
  • Work closely with various internal teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects and superior client service.
  • Engage in specific tasks such as 3D modeling, roadway design calculations, and preparation of quantity and cost estimates.
  • Assist in the development of proposals, project budgets, schedules, and facilitate public engagement and presentations.
  • Supervise the work of Engineers in Training (EITs) or Technicians.

As you progress in your career, you may also be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating project activities to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery. This includes maintaining regular communication with clients, overseeing project schedules and budgets, and coordinating with subconsultants.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution, along with 4-10 years of experience in Transportation design, particularly with FDOT and/or municipal clients.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and technical documents, along with a solid understanding of design software, preferably MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Preferred candidates will possess a Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within six months.
  • Strong communication skills and a robust work ethic are essential for success in this role.
