As the Activities Director at Sunrise, you will oversee the daily activities and programs within our senior living community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement volunteer-driven activities and programs that enhance the lives of residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care.
  • Work collaboratively with other department coordinators and the Executive Director to cultivate partnerships with local educational institutions, businesses, and community organizations to build a robust network of volunteers and resources.
  • Maintain a dynamic calendar of events and activities that offer diverse experiences for residents and their families.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring expenses align with financial targets.
  • Lead efforts in recruiting, training, and retaining a high-performing team of employees.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a related field, preferably within a senior living context.
  • A high school diploma is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and train volunteers and team members to deliver outstanding activity programming.
  • Possession of relevant state certifications or licenses, such as a CDL (commercial driver's license).
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations regarding resident care and services.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and adaptable to new software applications.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends to accommodate the needs of residents and team members.
