Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our dynamic fitness branch membership team as a Full-Time Member Services Representative.

This is a full-time benefited, non-exempt position that focuses on leading membership acquisition, member retention, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional service to all members, guests, and program participants.
  • Respond to member and guest needs, promote memberships and programs, and maintain cleanliness and organization of the lobby area.
  • Conduct interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; sell memberships and complete appropriate documentation, paperwork, and data entry for sales.
  • Handle all monetary transactions according to protocol.
  • Build exceptional relationships with members; help members connect with one another and the YMCA.
  • Handle and resolve membership concerns and inform supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
  • Apply YMCA policies and protocols dealing with member services or any emergencies.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Schedule

Sundays 6:45-3:00pm and Mondays - Thursdays 4:45am - 1pm.

Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience in serving customers, sales, or a related field.
  • Excellent relationship building and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and other computer programs necessary to perform the duties of the job.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
