Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Corporate Financial Accountant plays a crucial role in supporting the financial and accounting operations primarily for the Corporate division, while also extending assistance across Cadrex when necessary. A significant aspect of this position involves overseeing cash management activities throughout the organization. Additionally, this role encompasses aiding in the preparation of financial statements for the Corporate entity, managing general ledger accounts, executing reconciliations, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and company policies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Cash Management Oversight

  • Assist in the upkeep of banking records pertinent to ZBA transactions.
  • Conduct regular reviews of accounts receivable across the enterprise for overdue customer payments and collaborate with site finance teams for resolution.
  • Perform weekly assessments of accounts payable across the enterprise, recommending disbursements while monitoring and supporting corporate fuel and credit card initiatives.

Financial Reporting Duties

  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Corporate entity.
  • Assist in the compilation and review of addbacks across Cadrex.
  • Ensure timely and precise reporting of additional financial data.

General Ledger Management

  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts for the Corporate entity.
  • Prepare and/or post journal entries related to Corporate finances.

Reconciliation Tasks

  • Conduct monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for the Corporate entity.
  • Reconcile bank statements for the Corporate entity and address any discrepancies.
  • Manage intercompany transaction reconciliations.
  • Review consolidated fixed assets for discrepancies across Cadrex.
  • Assist with the annual reconciliation process in accordance with ASC 842 across Cadrex.

Accounts Payable Functions

  • Process accounts payable transactions for the Corporate entity.
  • Prepare and submit weekly payments for the Corporate entity.
  • Prepare and submit annual 1099 forms.

Audit and Compliance Support

  • Assist with both internal and external audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Process Improvement Initiatives

  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements to boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or necessary.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of experience in finance or accounting is required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position is onsite.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Monday through Friday.
