Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Corporate Financial Accountant plays a crucial role in supporting the financial and accounting operations primarily for the Corporate division, while also providing assistance across Cadrex when necessary. A significant aspect of this position involves managing cash flow across the organization. Additionally, this role includes responsibilities for aiding in the preparation of financial statements for the Corporate entity, maintaining general ledger accounts, executing reconciliations, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and company policies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Cash Flow Management

  • Assist in the upkeep of banking records associated with Zero Balance Accounts (ZBA)
  • Conduct regular reviews of accounts receivable across the enterprise for overdue customer payments and collaborate with site finance teams for resolution
  • Review accounts payable weekly, recommend payments, and oversee corporate fuel and credit card programs

Financial Reporting

  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Corporate entity
  • Assist in compiling and reviewing financial addbacks across Cadrex
  • Ensure timely and precise reporting of additional financial data

General Ledger Maintenance

  • Maintain and update accounts within the Corporate general ledger
  • Prepare and/or post journal entries for the Corporate entity

Account Reconciliations

  • Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts for the Corporate entity
  • Reconcile bank statements for the Corporate entity and address any discrepancies
  • Reconcile intercompany transactions
  • Review consolidated fixed assets for inconsistencies across Cadrex
  • Assist with annual reconciliations in accordance with ASC 842 across Cadrex

Accounts Payable Management

  • Process accounts payable transactions for the Corporate entity
  • Prepare and submit weekly payments for the Corporate entity
  • Prepare and submit annual 1099 forms

Audit and Compliance Support

  • Assist with both internal and external audit processes
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies

Process Enhancement

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist in developing departmental policies and procedures

Additional Duties

  • Perform other related tasks as necessary or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of experience in finance or accounting is required
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred

  • Onsite position
