Position Overview

The Senior Vice President of Cybersecurity and IT Infrastructure plays a critical leadership role, tasked with steering the strategic vision and oversight of the organization’s cybersecurity measures and IT infrastructure, including cloud solutions. This position is essential in safeguarding the security, dependability, and compliance of all IT systems and operations, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards. The SVP will guide a team of skilled professionals, spearheading initiatives to shield the organization’s assets, data, and intellectual property from security threats while ensuring adherence to legal obligations.

This role will collaborate closely with our Information Technology division and supports a hybrid work model, typically requiring in-office presence 2-3 days weekly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security frameworks to safeguard the organization’s IT infrastructure and sensitive data.
  • Supervise the formulation and enforcement of security protocols, procedures, and standards.
  • Identify and evaluate security vulnerabilities, creating strategies to mitigate potential risks.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance and identify weaknesses.
  • Lead the incident response unit, overseeing the investigation and resolution of security incidents.
  • Create and maintain an incident response strategy, ensuring prompt and effective reactions to security breaches.
  • Establish the strategic roadmap for IT infrastructure, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and emerging technologies.
  • Manage the design, implementation, and oversight of robust and scalable IT infrastructure both on-premises and in the cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP, SAP RISE).
  • Guarantee the reliability, performance, and availability of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Adopt best practices for system maintenance, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and legal requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).
  • Stay informed about evolving cybersecurity laws and regulations, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
  • Design and deliver cybersecurity training programs for employees and executives to foster a culture of security awareness.
  • Promote a security-focused environment through ongoing communication and educational initiatives.
Leadership and Team Development
  • Guide and mentor a high-performing team of security and infrastructure professionals, including global contractors.
  • Encourage a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Recruit, nurture, and retain top talent within the security and infrastructure teams.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other executive leaders, business units, and IT stakeholders to ensure security and infrastructure strategies align with business objectives.
  • Work in partnership with legal, compliance, and risk management teams to address security and compliance challenges.
  • Communicate security and infrastructure strategies, plans, and performance metrics to executive leadership and the board.
  • Act as the primary contact for security-related inquiries and audits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in IT security and infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective security and infrastructure strategies.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Strong grasp of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in developing and executing strategic plans, managing budgets, and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
