Senior Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs. As a Senior LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to our veteran residents.
Job Summary:The Senior Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications, and performing treatments as ordered by physicians. You will also be responsible for documenting patient information, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and performing treatments
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes
- Assist with orientation of new personnel
- Coordinate nursing care of patients when scheduled for therapy or procedures
- Licensure as a Practical Nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464
- Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- One (1) year of experience in long-term care/120-bed skilled nursing facility, with a geriatric population
- One (1) year of experience providing practical nursing services
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records
- One (1) year of experience in a leadership role
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to nursing care
