Position Overview:

SHI International Corp. is establishing a dedicated Corporate Accounting Team to oversee the financial reporting functions for both Group and US entities. This role encompasses responsibilities for month-end close processes, financial reporting, governance, and audit support. Candidates must exhibit a comprehensive range of technical and operational reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the work of Staff Accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Review and analyze accruals, prepayments, provisions, amortizations, depreciation, and other financial calculations.
  • Conduct thorough account analyses to identify discrepancies and propose necessary journal adjustments.
  • Manage critical aspects of the month-end closing process.
  • Perform variance and balance analyses, providing insightful commentaries.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Assist in the annual audit process, collaborating with external auditors to furnish required documentation.
  • Implement and uphold controls in accordance with the SHI Control Framework.
  • Collaborate with various finance functions, including accounting teams, FP&A, AR, and AP.
  • Support or lead transformation initiatives within the accounting department.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, or equivalent) is mandatory; external audit experience is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong listening, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of accountability.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple ad hoc requests efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000, based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. Benefits may include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending options.
