Position Overview:

SHI International Corp. is establishing a dedicated Corporate Accounting Team to oversee the financial reporting functions for both Group and US entities. This role encompasses responsibilities related to month-end processes, financial reporting, governance, and audit collaboration. Candidates must exhibit a comprehensive range of technical and operational reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the work conducted by a team of Staff Accountants.
  • Evaluate accruals, prepayments, provisions, amortizations, depreciation, and other financial calculations and journal entries.
  • Analyze accounts to identify areas that require further investigation and potential journal adjustments.
  • Manage critical components of the month-end closing process.
  • Conduct variance and balance analysis, providing insightful commentaries.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely investigation and resolution of reconciling items.
  • Support the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors to supply necessary documentation.
  • Implement and oversee controls in accordance with the SHI Control Framework.
  • Collaborate with various finance functions, including other accounting teams, FP&A, AR, and AP.
  • Lead or support transformation initiatives.
  • Assist with various ad hoc projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, or equivalent) is mandatory, with external audit experience being advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong listening, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a high level of accountability.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage ad hoc requests effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000, influenced by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions. Benefits may include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending options.
