Position Overview:

IPS is seeking a committed Senior Project Engineer to enhance our dynamic team. This role involves managing and overseeing various project aspects related to cost management, scheduling, and documentation. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure project delivery aligns with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in formulating and maintaining execution plans for preconstruction, construction, and project closeout.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of prime contract stipulations and apply this knowledge to project tasks.
  • Facilitate the review and approval process with senior management, ensuring effective communication with the project team.
  • Support the creation and upkeep of detailed project scopes of work and relay this information to the team.
  • Monitor project budgets and identify discrepancies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the development of change control documentation and associated financial records.
  • Coordinate safety resources to ensure compliance with safety protocols and rectify any nonconformities.
  • Oversee design quality and compliance, ensuring revisions meet project requirements.
  • Assist in procuring and coordinating necessary project resources across various divisions.
  • Support the preparation of subcontracts, purchase orders, and related financial documentation.
  • Evaluate vendor and subcontractor invoices for accuracy.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Identify potential project challenges and propose solutions.
  • Encourage effective communication and collaboration within project teams.

Qualifications:

  • 12-16 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, project management, or construction management.
  • Professional certifications are highly valued, including CCT, CCP, CST, CSP, EVP, CMIT, CCM, PMP, or EIT.
  • Proficient in various industry-standard software tools, including:
    • MS Office Suite
    • Scheduling tools like Primavera and MS Project
    • Client ERP systems such as JDE, QUAD, SAP, ARIBA, and CONCUR
    • PPM Software: Prolog, Proliance, Prism G2, Procore, Cleopatra, Cora Systems

Safety Considerations:

  • Adhere to IPS Mission Zero Safety policy.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, including prolonged computer use.
  • Experience in both office and field environments.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

This role is designated as safety-sensitive, involving fieldwork and participation in activities at client sites in construction, manufacturing, and research environments.
