About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer Scientist to join our team at RCM Technologies, Inc. as a key member of our Research and Development department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Provide project leadership and technical guidance to multiple assigned technical projects, promoting a safe work environment and ensuring projects are completed with minimal supervision.
  • Research and Development: Conduct research and development activities to identify new product opportunities and develop innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Technical Service: Provide technical support to Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other Product Development staff as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Manufacturing, to ensure successful commercialization of projects within required timelines.
  • Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in materials science, chemical engineering, and related fields, staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and present project reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's or Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Experience: At least five years of industrial work experience in materials science, chemical engineering, or related field, with a strong background in product development and technical project management.
  • Skills: Excellent data analysis skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in contemporary software tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and DOE/optimization software.
