Compensation: The hourly wage for this role ranges from $54 to $75, accompanied by comprehensive benefits.

Position Overview:

The Principal Engineering Specialist will engage in intricate engineering evaluations and designs that support various operations, systems, and programs. This role necessitates expertise in engineering methodologies, regulatory standards, and analytical techniques.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting complex engineering analyses with minimal oversight.
  • Advising on specialized engineering requirements and providing innovative solutions.
  • Leading technical teams on advanced projects and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Identifying and addressing potential design and operational issues through the plant Condition Report process.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, along with eight years of relevant engineering experience, including at least one diverse assignment. Alternatively, candidates with a high school diploma or GED and a PE license, coupled with eight years of engineering experience, will also be considered.

In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to tackle highly complex challenges are essential. Advanced technical understanding of related fields is required, along with a commitment to staying current with industry advancements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two diverse assignments are advantageous. SRO or Plant Certification, as well as a PE license, are desirable. Experience in Digital Design, Electrical I & C, and the Nuclear design process is a plus.
