Core Projects
Our portfolio encompasses advanced unmanned systems, focusing on essential technologies that enhance the reliability and intelligence of autonomous systems. We are currently innovating a perception system designed to autonomously identify objects in aquatic environments, utilizing sensor data from multi-spectral cameras and radar, powered by validated machine learning algorithms.
In addition, we are engaged in electrification initiatives for Navy platforms, developing hybrid and electric propulsion systems, autonomous controls, and mission system integrations for rapid power system responses.
Research Initiatives
We are embarking on new applied research projects aimed at bolstering the cyber resilience of cyber-physical systems utilized by the Navy. This includes autonomous systems, next-generation warships, and distributed operational bases, ensuring that Navy systems can function effectively in contested environments worldwide.
Role Summary
Integer is seeking a Senior Cyber-Physical Security Engineer with extensive experience in the analysis, design, and development of algorithms and software for an integrated cyber-physical resilience stress testing platform for unmanned underwater and surface vessels. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and rigorously testing systems to ensure robust security measures are integrated into uncrewed and autonomous vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Senior Engineer for cyber research programs, focusing on offensive cybersecurity strategies for cyber-physical systems on maritime platforms.
- Utilize hands-on development skills to create new tools for vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and reverse engineering of maritime autonomous systems.
- Engineer advanced cybersecurity measures, including AI/ML security tools, to enhance the resilience of autonomous systems.
- Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of a cyber-physical resilience stress test platform that simulates complex cyber threats.
- Develop security protocols for real-time decision-making architectures.
- Integrate and prototype cyber-physical systems using various communication protocols.
- Provide expertise in cyber-physical systems, including technical analysis and product development.
- Mentor junior engineers and researchers on best practices in cyber research.
- Maintain high standards of code quality through rigorous testing and validation.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience.
- Strong background in computer and network architecture.
- Experience in cyber-physical systems research, including IoT and autonomous systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C/C++.
- Excellent communication skills and technical leadership abilities.

- Ph.D. in a relevant field with industry experience.
- Experience with AI/ML models for cybersecurity tools.
- Familiarity with maritime or Navy platforms.
