Job Overview

Position Summary: The Quality Assurance Inspector will adhere to established guidelines and technical documentation provided by the manufacturer for ongoing airworthiness. This role involves conducting thorough inspections at various stages, including preliminary hidden damage assessments, in-process evaluations, and final inspections, ensuring compliance with aviation directives and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of inspection techniques, tools, and equipment relevant to the assigned area.
  • Maintain expertise in the use of inspection aids and ensure they are calibrated and functioning correctly.
  • Verify that all inspection tools are operational and adhere to the required calibration standards.
  • Comprehend and apply current specifications regarding inspection tolerances and procedures set forth by the manufacturer.
  • Document all inspections accurately and ensure that records are completed prior to final approval for service return.
  • Effectively replace defective components to restore functionality.
  • Execute prescribed repair protocols and conduct functional tests on parts or products.
  • Provide assistance to Repair Technicians, Engineers, and Technical Services as necessary.
  • Adhere to inventory management practices consistently.
  • Interpret and utilize OEM manuals and routing instructions effectively.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Experience with CFM56 engines.
  • Possession of a Powerplant License is mandatory.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and repair concepts is preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to identify failures and perform necessary rework on parts and assemblies.
  • Commitment to maintaining company quality standards.
  • Capability to follow established testing and repair procedures.
  • Willingness to learn and execute basic repair tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret routers and OEM manuals.
  • Proficiency in English is required; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Employment Details:

This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate. There are no commission or bonus opportunities, and overtime is not applicable.
