Position Summary:

The Detail Inspector will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections in accordance with the latest technical data and manufacturer guidelines. This role involves performing preliminary hidden damage assessments, in-process evaluations, and final inspections on civil aviation components, ensuring compliance with aviation airworthiness directives and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Become well-versed in the inspection methods, tools, and equipment relevant to your designated area.
  • Maintain proficiency in utilizing inspection aids and ensure they are in optimal working condition with accurate calibration.
  • Understand and apply current specifications regarding inspection tolerances and procedures as dictated by the manufacturer.
  • Ensure all inspections are executed accurately and documented properly prior to final approval for service return.
  • Effectively replace defective sub-assemblies, parts, or components to restore functionality.
  • Conduct scripted repair procedures and perform functional tests on parts or products.
  • Support repair technicians, engineers, and technical services as needed.
  • Adhere to inventory control practices and procedures consistently.
  • Interpret OEM manuals and routing instructions accurately.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Experience with CFM56 engines.
  • Possession of a Powerplant License.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and repair concepts.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to identify failures and perform rework on parts and assemblies.
  • Commitment to maintaining company quality standards.
  • Capability to complete predefined testing and repair protocols.
  • Ability to learn and execute basic repair tasks.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding OEM manuals and routers.
  • Business proficiency in English is required.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Quantum aviation software.
  • Business proficiency in Spanish.

Skills and Certifications:

Powerplant license and CFM56 experience are mandatory.
