Position Summary: The Detail Inspector will adhere to the technical guidelines outlined in the manufacturer's instructions for continued airworthiness. This role involves conducting preliminary hidden damage assessments, in-process evaluations, and final inspections in compliance with aviation airworthiness directives and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of inspection methodologies, tools, and equipment relevant to the assigned responsibilities.
  • Ensure proficiency in utilizing inspection aids and confirm that all tools are calibrated and functioning correctly.
  • Conduct inspections in accordance with established specifications, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Document all inspection results accurately and ensure proper execution of records prior to the approval for service return.
  • Effectively replace defective components to restore functionality.
  • Execute prescribed repair procedures and perform functional tests on parts.
  • Collaborate with repair technicians and engineers as necessary.
  • Adhere to inventory control protocols consistently.
  • Interpret and apply OEM manuals and routing instructions accurately.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with CFM56 engines is essential.
  • A valid Powerplant License is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and repair concepts is preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to diagnose failures and execute rework on parts and assemblies.
  • Commitment to maintaining company quality standards.
  • Capable of completing predefined testing and repair protocols.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and routers.
  • Language proficiency in English is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Quantum aviation software.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Essential Skills:

  • Powerplant license
  • CFM56 expertise

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will possess significant experience with CFM56 engines and hold a valid Powerplant license, demonstrating a commitment to quality and safety in aviation operations.
