About Rocky Mountain Prep

Rocky Mountain Prep is an expanding network of progressive public charter schools, catering to students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade in the Greater Denver Area. Since its inception in 2012 with 130 students, RMP has successfully grown to four campuses, serving over 1,800 scholars across two districts. Our schools are founded on a culture of rigor and compassion, consistently exceeding local district academic performance while fostering the development of our scholars in the PEAK values: perseverance, excellence, adventure, and kindness. We aim to expand to 12 schools, serving over 5,000 students in grades PK-12.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an Early Childhood Education Flex Teacher across one of RMP's elementary campuses.
  • Act as the primary substitute for any medical, bereavement, or extended leaves.
  • Assist the Director of ECE with compliance-related tasks as needed.
  • Provide training and support to ECE teaching assistants.
  • Deliver lessons utilizing our high-quality curriculum.
  • Thoroughly prepare and internalize lessons to optimize class time and enhance student learning.
  • Utilize data systems to promote exceptional scholar growth and proficiency.
  • Regularly collect, enter, and analyze academic data to tailor instruction and interventions that foster a culture of learning.
  • Establish a robust classroom environment where scholars can learn and thrive through structured routines and proactive practices.
  • Foster a positive working atmosphere for colleagues that prioritizes student welfare.
  • Engage collaboratively and communicate consistently with teammates, parents, and administrators.
  • Participate in professional development sessions aimed at providing constructive feedback and coaching to enhance instructional practices.
  • Contribute actively to the People and Business Administration and Legal Affairs teams, embodying the vision that "Every Human Thrives."
  • Exemplify the PEAK core values in daily activities, including perseverance in challenging situations, delivering excellent service to the community, embracing adventure, and practicing kindness.
  • Actively participate in network and school-level activities and events as a member of the Central Team.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of three years of ECE teaching experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Comprehensive understanding of common core state standards, national and state ECE standards, and instructional best practices.
  • Qualified as an ECE Lead Teacher.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Capacity to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Compensation:

This is a full-time position eligible for benefits, compensated according to our teacher salary step scale, starting at $60,000 and increasing annually based on education and experience.
