Position Title: CNC Maintenance Technician
Department: Maintenance/Production
Reports To: Maintenance Manager/Supervisor

Position Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced CNC Maintenance Technician to become a part of our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be tasked with the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machinery to guarantee peak performance and minimal operational interruptions. This role demands a robust technical background, meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to operate independently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventive Maintenance:
    • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on CNC machines and associated equipment to ensure dependable operation.
    • Keep precise records of maintenance tasks and machine performance metrics.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair:
    • Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control problems on CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and other automated systems.
    • Repair or replace faulty components to restore machine functionality.
    • Work closely with operators and production personnel to pinpoint and address machine-related challenges.
  • Calibration and Adjustment:
    • Calibrate and fine-tune CNC machines to uphold precision and accuracy in machining tasks.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety and performance standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
    • Communicate any significant issues or recurring challenges to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify potential enhancements for machine reliability and performance.
    • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and propose enhancements to maintenance protocols.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety guidelines and utilize appropriate protective equipment at all times.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations concerning equipment maintenance and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required. Technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in CNC machine maintenance or a related field. Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and control systems of CNC machines.
    • Strong comprehension of CNC programming, schematics, and technical documentation.
    • Familiarity with various brands and models of CNC machinery.
  • Physical Stamina: Capability to perform manual tasks, including heavy lifting and extended periods of standing.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to execute precise work and ensure high-quality maintenance standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Competence in identifying and addressing issues promptly and effectively.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment.

Compensation:

  • Hourly rate based on experience.
  • Senior Technicians: $35+ per hour.
