Position Summary

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time, onsite position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary liaison for all quality-related matters, including assessments, product failures, returns, technical issues, process challenges, and corrective actions; serve as the main contact for customer surveys, audits, and site evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with all performance specifications, documentation requirements, and customer expectations, including review and approval of design documentation.
  • Verify adherence to all DCMA requirements for product delivery; assist with DCMA product/process audits as necessary; coordinate Customer Source Inspection (CSI) and/or Government Source Inspection (GSI) visits as required by customer contracts.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with customer contracts and/or source control drawing requirements. Collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance and resolve issues, documenting results in AS9102 format.
  • Lead responses to customer concerns; ensure that Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) responses are comprehensive and completed within agreed timelines; coordinate customer scorecard reviews and follow-up activities; manage the organization’s response to customer-issued audit findings and corrective actions.
  • Review customer contracts and purchase orders for requirements and potential issues, including documentation, unfunded deliverables, exemptions, and outsourced processes; facilitate internal reviews to ensure proper execution by other departments.
  • Support the organization’s ISO-9001 / AS9100 certification; report key performance metrics and trends during quarterly business reviews and other meetings as necessary; lead small teams in continuous improvement initiatives to address internal or external corrective actions.
  • Investigate quality concerns related to products and processes, ensuring timely responses and implementations; review and approve recommended nonconformance dispositions; analyze non-conformance trends for recommendations and improvements.
  • Contribute quality insights to the Design Development process during various phase reviews and customer meetings.
  • Perform other duties, projects, and tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in process engineering or product quality assurance for electronic or mechanical products.
  • 8+ years of experience in an ISO-9001 certified Quality Management System.
  • Strong proficiency in standard quality tools and techniques (e.g., 5 Whys, Fault Tree Analysis, process mapping).
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38534.
  • Prior experience in delivering hardware for aerospace and/or defense programs is highly desirable.
  • Experience within an AS9100-certified organization is a plus, including customer flow-down and Q-Clauses.
  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CSQP, CRE) or similar professional certifications are advantageous.
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain Security Clearance.
Salary Range

$93,500.00 - $125,950.00
