We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in a full-time, onsite position. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our products and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Customer-Facing Quality Assurance: Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related issues, including assessments, product failures, returns, technical issues, process issues, and corrective actions.
- Quality Compliance: Verify compliance to all performance specifications, documentation requirements, and customer expectations, including review and approval of design documentation.
- DCMA Compliance: Verify compliance to all DCMA requirements for product delivery, support DCMA product/process audits as required, and coordinate Customer Source Inspection (CSI) and/or Government Source Inspection (GSI) site visits as required per customer contracts.
- First Article Inspection: Complete First Article Inspection (FAI) per customer contract and/or source control drawing requirements, working with various TMS teams to verify compliance and resolve issues.
- Customer Issue Resolution: Lead the response to customer issues, ensuring CAPA responses are thorough and completed as per committed time frames, coordinate customer scorecard reviews and related follow-up activities, and coordinate the organization's response to customer-issued audit findings and corrective actions.
- Contract Review: Review customer contracts and purchase orders for requirements and potential issues, including documentation, unfunded deliverables, exemptions, and outsourced processes, coordinating internal reviews and required execution by other departments.
- Quality Management System: Support the organization's ISO-9001/AS9100 certification, reporting key performance measures, performance levels, and trends at quarterly business reviews and other meetings as required, leading small teams through continual improvement efforts to address internal or external corrective actions.
- Quality Concerns: Investigate product- and/or process-focused quality concerns as required, ensuring on-time response and implementation, reviewing and approving recommended nonconformance dispositions, and evaluating non-conformance trends for recommendations and improvements.
- Design Development: Support the Design Development process with quality input to various phase reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR...) and customer meetings.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties, projects, and tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience: 8+ years' experience in process engineering or product quality assurance for electronics or mechanical products.
- Quality Management System: 8+ years' experience in an ISO-9001 certified Quality Management System.
- Quality Tools: Strong background using standard quality tools/techniques (5 Whys, Fault Tree Analysis, process mapping).
- MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38534: Familiarity with MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38534.
- Aerospace and Defense Experience: Prior experience delivering hardware for aerospace and/or defense programs is highly desired.
- AS9100 Certification: Experience within an AS9100-certified organization, including customer flow-down and Q-Clauses, is a plus.
- Professional Certifications: ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CSQP, CRE), or other similar professional certifications, are a plus.
- Security Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and able to attain Security Clearance.
Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000
