DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The individual will be tasked with supporting critical operational strategies for high-level air transportation involving government officials and distinguished guests.

Key responsibilities include executing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, which encompasses repairs and modifications to aircraft structures, components, and engines that present varying levels of complexity. The technician will also maintain and repair essential aircraft systems such as flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components. This role demands a deep understanding of airframe and power plant systems to diagnose equipment failures and apply technical knowledge to resolve intricate issues by interpreting technical documentation, including blueprints and manufacturer manuals.

Additional responsibilities involve conducting inspections, including preflight, thru-flight, basic post-flight, and phase inspections. The technician will be responsible for launching and recovering aircraft as necessary, performing operational checks on all aircraft systems, and ensuring the aircraft's overall appearance and cleanliness. Proficiency in operating all relevant ground support equipment and utilizing hand tools, special tools, and fixtures applicable to aircraft maintenance is essential. The technician will also document maintenance actions in aircraft records/forms and complete associated IMDS entries.

Safety is paramount; therefore, adherence to good housekeeping practices, tool control, and FOD awareness is required at all times. The technician may be assigned additional duties related to the field, including temporary duty assignments and travel. Flexibility in working hours is necessary, as shifts may include day, swing, night, and weekends. The technician will be expected to achieve proficiency in three classifications (aircraft general, jet engines, and pneudraulics) through Cross Utilization Training (CUT).

QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of eight years of practical experience in aircraft maintenance operations is essential. Familiarity with aircraft hand tools, special tools, and testing equipment is required. The candidate must possess a solid understanding of aircraft safety protocols and be capable of operating portable firefighting equipment. Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and understanding schematic diagrams, drawings, charts, and technical publications is necessary. An FAA A&P certificate is mandatory.

Physical requirements include the occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance and a flightline driver's license.
