Job Summary

Aircraft Worker is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and inspecting aircraft structures, systems, and components under the technical direction of an Aircraft Mechanic or Lead. This role requires strong knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance directives, and technical data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation maintenance, with experience in installing, inspecting, repairing, or overhauling aircraft structures, systems, and components.

Key Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains aircraft structures, systems, and components under technical direction
• Conducts functional tests of repaired components and systems
• Removes and installs aircraft components
• Inspects and identifies aircraft corrosion for prevention and repair
• May be required to adjust, align, and rig aircraft systems
• May be required to perform aircraft jacking, lifting, and towing operations
• Required to perform assigned tasks within your work center that directly supports necessary functions of this job classification

Requirements

• Qualification as Aircraft Worker is mandatory
• A minimum of three years of performing functions, such as installing, inspecting, repairing or overhauling aircraft structures, systems, and components, is mandatory
• Completion of high school with courses in mathematics is desirable
• Completion of a basic applicable aircraft maintenance course is mandatory
• Must have held an Air Force Jet engine AFSC and possess the required qualifications in the attached job description
• SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED

Special Certifications and Qualifications

• Remove/install F-15C engines
• Remove and install jet fuel starting system (JFS)
• Knowledgeable and able to remove and replace line replaceable units (LRU) and rig if required
• Ability to become borescope qualified, blade blend certified, and engine run certified
• Must be able to travel in performance of these duties
